Max is the dressed up version of Maximus, Johan Ansander’s playful and iconic easy chair presented in 2021.
If Maximus was softly shaped in massive wood, Max offers soft comfort fully clothed with a springy lushness. The craftsmanship expressed in the precise seams endows Max with a distinct character and a mimetic attitude that will let any space look alive. The comfort is excellent thanks to nosaq springs covered with molded foam all held in place by an exact and quite demanding stitching process. The expanding fabric makes Max look slightly larger in life than Maximus, but that is just an impression, the sizes are equal.
