Hippo’s journey began when Mia Gammelgaard asked if we wanted to produce her contribution to the Danish Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition, “White-Out”. “Of course!” we said and embarked on the project without a moment’s delay. We knew it had to be a wooden chair but, apart from that, nothing was yet decided. After many long hours of product development Hippo appeared in public for the first time on 29 October 2010 in Copenhagen. Soon afterwards we were also able to present Hippo table – and a new product family was born!
