Blå Station

The magazine Forum Närmiljö was the precursor of today's Forum AID, a magazine for Nordic architecture, interiors and design. The award was shared annually in the categories "best furniture for the home" and "best furniture for contract sales".

Beplus, Best furniture for the home 1987

Beplus, the jury's verdict:
A varied but ingeniously simple solution for a folding chair. Material choices are made with a high standard of safety in mind and the design is the result of many years of purposeful pursuit of uncompromising simplicity. The chair is small, but its great success is due to its beautiful graphic expression.

Forsnäspriset was established in 1983 by the Swedish Institute for furniture (Möbelinstitutet) in collaboration with Forsnäs Fanérsitsfabrik Bröderna Bergqvist AB. The purpose of the award was to promote development and stimulate interest in the technique of compression moulded layer-glued wood furniture. For 24 years the award was presented at the opening of the annual Stockholm International Furniture Fair. It became one of the most prestigious prizes in the Nordic furniture industry. The last prize was awarded in 2006. Since 2007, the prize has a new name, Nordiska designpriset för formpressade trämöbler.

Personal and modern development of a classic. The ply wood layering technique is used in a perfect synthesis of technology, form and function.

Excellent Swedish Design award was distributed by Svensk Form 1983-2002. The award shows that the product has been evaluated by representatives of the designers own union and found to live up to high standards: that is, they are carriers of innovation, good design and superior quality with regard to materials, manufacture process and function
