Blå Station

The Swan is the official Nordic Ecolabel, introduced by the Nordic Council of Ministers. The Nordic Ecolabel criteria for furniture stipulate low environmental impact as well as high quality. Furniture that is long-lasting is in itself an environmental advantage, because it does not have to be discarded after a short time. Furniture is also tested for sustainability and stability and must fulfil Nordic Ecolabel safety requirements.

Svensk Form, SVID, Swedish Industrial Design Foundation and The Advertising Association of Sweden are the initiators of the Design S / Swedish Design Award, which since 2006 is awarded biannually to creative solutions to problems. The award singles out successful design and rewards creative solutions to problems with a focus on design for sustainability issues including climate, the environment, the welfare of society and the long-term quality of life.

The environmental requirements of Möbelfakta are based on criteria from the Environmental Control Council, the technical requirements are based on established European and international standards (EN and ISO), and the requirements of social responsibility is based on the principles of the UN Code of Conduct.
