Who are we?
Blå Station is a family business, both litterary and metaphorically speaking. We are a family of twelve. We share ideas, solve problems and find better ways togheter. We work here because we love it, because we all matter, every one of us. And because it's fun!
In the very beginning, Börge who founded Blå Station, used to lock the place up on sunny summer days, leving a message on the answer machine: "We are at the beach, since the weather is too nice to be working. Please call us later"!
Since then, our business culture has evolved, but Johan and Mimi, Börges children, still treasures the basic idea; we don’t have firm ideas and ways of doing things. We think that the more flexible we are, the more successful we can be. To meet today’s demands and desires, we belive it is necessary to have an open and innovative mind, a child’s curiosity as well as a heart that rejects shortcuts and apathy. We want to create new products, which make a difference to our company, to the environment and to our customers. To us, new furniture should be better at something and offer an alternative to what is already available.
